WCF November Events, Interfaith Week & A Heartfelt Thank You
Dear Friends and Members,
As we approach Interfaith Week (8–15 November), we are delighted to share two wonderful events that reflect the World Congress of Faiths' longstanding commitment to dialogue, understanding and shared spiritual exploration.
We would also like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who has already signed up for WCF membership in 2027. Your continued support is enormously appreciated and helps us carry forward our work of bringing people of different faiths and beliefs together. Thank you for being part of our community!
✨ Shared Light: Spiritual Experience Across and Beyond Faith ✨
Monday 9 November 2026 | 2.00–4.00pm
Multi-Faith Centre, University of Derby
We are delighted that our very own Dr Marianne Rankin will be visiting the Multi-Faith Centre in Derby during Interfaith Week to deliver a fascinating talk on religious and spiritual experiences across different cultures and traditions.
Drawing on her book, An Introduction to Religious and Spiritual Experience, Marianne will explore accounts from the founders of the world's major religious traditions alongside the experiences of ordinary people today.
Is there a common thread connecting spiritual experiences across different faiths? What might these experiences reveal about God, consciousness, the possibility of life after death and what it means to be human?
The presentation will be followed by questions and discussion.
There will also be a photography exhibition of some of Eleanor Rankin Dailey's interfaith images currently featured on Contemporary Religious & Spiritual Experience: An Illustrated Guide CRSE.uk
This is a free event, open to people of all faiths and none. Booking is essential, and light refreshments will be provided.

The Meaning of Interreligious Dialogue Today
Thursday 12 November 2026 | 7.00–9.00pm GMT
Online via Zoom | £7.00 plus booking fee
As part of our 90th anniversary celebrations, the World Congress of Faiths warmly invites you to join an important online discussion exploring the meaning and relevance of interreligious dialogue in today's world.
Since our founding in 1936, WCF has worked to encourage understanding, respect and meaningful conversation between people of different religious traditions.
Ninety years later, what does genuine interreligious dialogue mean? How can it help us navigate the challenges of our increasingly interconnected world?
Bringing together four distinguished scholars and practitioners from different religious perspectives, this webinar promises to offer fresh insights into the many meanings of dialogue and why it matters now more than ever.
Our speakers include:
Professor Anantanand Rambachan – Hindu scholar
Dr Jerusha Rhodes – Scholar of Islam and Muslim feminist
David Loy – Zen Buddhist scholar and teacher
We hope you will join us for what promises to be a thoughtful and stimulating evening.

For those who have yet to renew, we would be delighted to have you with us for another year.

Bringing people of different faiths together since 1936.
PLEASE NOTE!
You might have received an email from us via Wix informing you about our new membership subscription service.
From 1 January 2027, we are aiming to move all World Congress of Faiths memberships onto Wix so that we can streamline the way memberships are managed and make joining, renewing and updating your membership much simpler.
We have introduced four new membership options for 2027 and existing members will be asked to choose the option that suits them and sign up online through the WCF website HERE.
Once your new online membership is confirmed, please remember to cancel any existing standing order, Direct Debit or recurring bank payment you currently use to pay WCF directly.
If you have already become a member VIA the website you have NO FURTHER ACTION. This is just for members who currently pay via bank transfers.
There may be a short transition period while we move everyone onto the new system, but from 2027 onwards this should give us a much clearer and more efficient way to manage memberships.
Please note that these memberships become ACTIVE on Jan 1st 2027 so will be valid until Jan 2028.
If you have recently made a payment, are unsure which membership to choose, or need any help setting up your new subscription, please contact us - Ellie is very happy to help at ellie@redhawk.uk
