Barney Leith to give the Annual Younghusband lecture in 2010.
Faiths, the State and the Public Realm
The Annual Younghusband lecture will be on May 26th 2010 at 6.30pm at 27 Rutland Gate, London SW7 1PD.
The speaker will be Barney Leith.
Barney, an active Bahá'í since 1966, has been a member of the UK Bahá'í community's national governing body since 1993, serving successively as its Secretary, Secretary for External Affairs, and Director for Diplomatic Relations. He is currently Director of the community's Office of Public Information.
He is a founder member and chair of two national multi-faith bodies: the Faith-Based Regeneration Network and the Religion and Belief Consultative Group. He is a trustee of the Inter Faith Network for the UK and a founder-member of the Multi-Faith Group for Healthcare Chaplaincy. He represents the Bahá'í community on the UK Government's Faith Communities Consultative Council.
