Evolution, Religion and Politics - a debate available on YouTube

A debate about 'How Darwin's contribution to science has changed our view of the World and the Universe' in the year 2009, the year that we celebrate the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwin's birth and the 150th anniversary of the publication of his famous book 'On the Origin of Species and Natural Selection'. The debate took place at Essex House in London on 4 June 2009.

The participants were:
David Williams, emeritus Perren Professor of Astronomy at University College London, and a former President of the Royal Astronomical Society.
Pejman Khojasteh, Treasurer of the World Congress of Faiths. He has a degree in Computing and Information Systems. He presented a paper on the effects of Darwin at an Oxford Summer Conference.
Richard Boeke, a Unitarian Minister and Vice President of the World Congress of Faiths. As a Chaplain in the US Air Force, he saw Atomic Bombs. His University thesis focused on survivors of Hiroshima and “SURVIVOR GUILT”.
